Choosing Your Printable Area: Front, Back, or Full Body
Before you upload any artwork, the first real decision is how much of the lighter you want covered. We print three distinct areas, and each one suits a different kind of design.
Front Flat (15mm x 50mm) The smallest and simplest option: a flat panel on the front face of the lighter. This is the one to pick for a clean, logo-forward design, a short slogan, or anything where the strongest look is a single mark rather than a busy pattern. Because it's a flat surface rather than a curve, fine detail and small text stay sharp here.
Full Body (up to 40mm x 50mm) This is our largest and most popular option: the design wraps around the curved body of the lighter rather than sitting on one flat face. It's the right call for bold artwork, photography, patterns, or any design that needs to read well no matter which way the lighter is turned, which matters more than people expect, since lighters get picked up, passed around, and viewed from every angle constantly. If you want maximum visual impact, this is where it comes from.
Back (8mm x 50mm) A small secondary panel, usually paired with a front or full body design rather than used on its own. It's ideal for something short and functional: a website address, a QR code, a hashtag, or a secondary logo mark.

How We Print: Direct Print
We print using direct digital printing across all three printable areas: the design is applied straight onto the surface of the lighter itself, becoming part of the product rather than sitting on top of it. It's scratch and weather-resistant, holds up to everyday handling far better than a surface-level sticker, and is why we've built our clipper lighter range around it.
Things to know
Direct-printed Clipper lighters come empty. Refilling is quick and easy though: Clipper butane gas is inexpensive and widely available, and a full refill takes seconds.
Turnaround time is 7–10 days, Samples are provided before full production runs.
A Note on Vinyl-Wrapped Lighters
We used to also offer vinyl-wrapped (sticker-labelled) lighters as standard. While it had a shorter turnaround, it meant more material waste in production and a less durable finish than direct print. We've moved away from offering it as standard so we can focus on scaling up direct print, both for quality and to keep production waste down as we grow. If you specifically need a labelled finish, for example if your lighters need to arrive gas-filled and ready to use straight away, or you're on a very tight deadline, get in touch and we can discuss it as a custom, one-off request.
